What Is Structural Plywood?
Unlike decorative sheet materials, structural plywood is built from multiple layers of timber veneer laid in alternating directions (cross-laminated), giving it excellent dimensional stability and resistance to warping or splitting. Each stress grade F14, F17, F22 is tested and certified to a specific load-bearing capacity, so the right grade depends on the application: flooring, bracing, or formwork.
Our Structural Plywood Range
F14 Hoop Pine Structural Plywood (CD Face) : A reliable mid-range stress grade suited to flooring, wall bracing and general structural use. Hoop Pine's even grain and light colour also suit feature ceilings and exposed structural joinery where appearance matters. Available 7-25mm, 2400 x 1200mm.
F17 Structural Form Plywood (Formply) : Engineered for concrete formwork, with a smooth resin-coated face for clean concrete release and a structural core rated to handle pour pressure. Available 17-25mm, 1800 x 1200mm.
F22 Bracing Plywood :Our highest stress grade, used as structural wall bracing in timber-framed construction. Compliant with Australian framing standards, it provides lateral load resistance to keep wall frames square and code-compliant. Available in 4mm, 2440 x 1200mm.
Structural vs Non-Structural Plywood
Structural plywood is stress-graded and certified for load-bearing use flooring, bracing, formwork. Non-structural plywood isn't rated for these loads and suits general-purpose, non-load-bearing jobs instead.
