Overview
WoodEvo HOME Composite Decking — BAL29, R11 Slip Rated, CodeMark Certified
WoodEvo HOME is a capped wood-plastic composite (WPC) decking board designed in Melbourne for Australian backyards. It delivers the warmth and grain of natural timber without the upkeep — no oiling, sanding or staining — and is engineered to resist rot, termites and fading in harsh sun and heavy rain.
HOME is backed by real certification: CodeMark certified (CM70164), BAL29 compliant for bushfire-prone areas, an R11 slip rating under AS 4586 for safer family living, and Global GreenTag certified with 95% recycled content. Lighter colours feature WoodEvo's NatureCool™ technology, which reflects sunlight to keep the surface up to 10–20°C cooler than standard boards. Every board carries a 25-year residential warranty.

FAQ
Is WoodEvo HOME suitable for bushfire-prone areas?
Yes. WoodEvo HOME is BAL29 compliant, so it can be used on sites rated BAL-LOW through BAL-29 under AS 3959. Use the HOME 3mm BAL-29 clip box on BAL-rated sites.
What does "Order in" mean?
We don't keep those colours or Fascia boards on the shelf at Epping. You can still order them online at the same price. We'll bring them in from WoodEvo and confirm the ETA after you order.
Will the deck get hot in summer?
All composite absorbs some heat, especially darker colours. Lighter HOME colours use NatureCool™ technology, which WoodEvo rates at up to 10–20°C cooler than standard boards.
What joist spacing do I need?
Maximum 450mm centres for residential decks and 350mm for commercial, with boards at 90° to the joists. Diagonal layouts need closer spacing (400mm at 60°, 350mm at 45° residential).
What's the difference between Grooved, Edge and Fascia boards?
Grooved boards are the main deck surface and take hidden clips. Edge boards are the same size but solid on one side, for exposed deck edges and picture framing. Fascia boards (180 x 15mm) cover the side of the subframe for a finished look.
How should I order?
Order your whole project in one go. Composite boards vary slightly between production batches, so buying everything together keeps colour consistent.
